Melodie komt overeen met Zahn 4430. Melodie ook in Etlich Christliche Lyeder 1524. Voor de melodie, zie ook Van Duyse II, 1725. Tekst volgens Lenselink 1959 uit 1551. Uitleg in de marge. Wijsaanduiding ELDERS in Utenhove 64Ps1561; deze lijkt naar de Lutherse psalm 2 te verwijzen, die dezelfde strofevorm heeft als die van Utenhove.
