Melodie is sterk verwant aan Datheen Ps1566a 104 (Psalm 104 Datheen), m.u.v. einde derde versregel. Bovendien is de melodie korter: het gaat alleen om de eerste helft van Datheen 104. Volgens Lenselink 1959 komt de tekst uit 1551. In de titel wordt foutief 48 genoemd; dit moet 84 zijn. Uitleg in de marge. Wijsaanduiding ELDERS in Utenhove 64Ps1561.
