Eerste vijf strofen zijn gelijk aan de eerste vijf strofen van Ligarius Psalmen1625 170. Zie ook het commentaar bij HsBeSPK mgo190 005, waar dit lied een Nederlandse bewerking van is. Ook GHarmonie1637 021-023 zijn bewerkingen van het Latijnse 'Puer natus in Bethlehem'. Verder vertoont het zeer grote overeenkomsten op tekstniveau met HsTirs 016.
