Melodie komt overeen met Zahn 4439, met gewijzigde ritmiek. Volgens Lenselink 1959, 268 komt Utenhoves versie overeen met die in La manyere de faire prieres (Straatsburg 1542) en komt Utenhoves tekst uit 1551. Lenselink wijst op textuele verwantschap met de Souterliedekens1540a 119 (Lenselink 1959, 265). Uitleg in de marge. Wijsaanduiding ELDERS in Utenhove 64Ps1561.
