6. COMT AL TE SAEM, GHY MENSCHEN AL GHELIJCK
Vermaenliet. Singt met aendacht.
Comt al te saem, ghy menschen al ghelijck,
Hoort mijn vermaen, Van Godes vreese rijck,
Sal ick u leeren reen.
Vreest God groot ende cleen,
Vreest hem sonder beswijck.
Gods vreese is tbeginsel der wijsheyt , Psa.11.10.
Den man ghewis wert hier salich geseyt, Psa.128.1.
Daer in Gods vreese bloyt
En Godes liefde groyt 1.Joa.4.7.
Dleven is hem bereyt. Joa.14.21.
Vreeset den Heer, ghy zijn heyligen al, Psa.34.10
Wie hem vreest seer, niet gebreken en sal , Psa.111.5
Heerlijcker dan gout goet Eccl.40.26
Is Godes vreese soet
By zijn heylich ghetal.
| 6. COME ALL TOGETHER
A Song of Admonition. Sing with piety.
Come all together, you people all equal,
Listen to my admonition; I will teach you
about God's rich fear,
Fear God, both great and small,
Fear him unceasingly.
The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom
One is blessed here certainly,
In whom the fear of God is flourishing
And love for God is growing
The life is prepared for him.
Fear the Lord, all you his saints,
Whoever fears him, will want for nothing.
More glorious than fine gold
Is the sweet fear of God
Amongst his holy people.
