Zyt genadig! zijt in zegen,
Met het alverquikkend' Licht
Van uw' lieff'lijk Aangezicht,
Over ons! Tot ons genegen,
Wier gemoed, in ernst, o God,
Op uw' voorschrift, en gebod,
Zoekt te wand'len in uw' wegen.
Volk'ren, Tongen, en Geslachten,
Al wie d'Aarde baart, en voed,
Rijze een rijzing in 't gemoed,
En een eerbied in gedachten,
Om in blijdschap, en in vreugd,
Vrolijk juychende, en verheugd,
Heere, uw' glori groot te achten.

Be gracious! Bless us,
With your most comforting light
Of your lovely face,
Upon us! Incline to us,
Turn our hearts in earnest, oh God,
Upon your prescriptions and commands,
We seek to walk on your path.
Peoples, tongues, and races,
All those born of the earth, and nourished,
Rise and rising in the heart,
And a reverence in thoughts,
So that in rejoicing, and in joy,
Merrily shouting, and exalting,
Lord, to highly esteem your glory.
