22. ACH VINT ICK U HIER IN EENEN STAL
| [22] AH, DO I FIND YOU HERE IN A STALL
Ah, do I find you here in a stall, O Child who makes us rejoice. Our delight, our happiness, You who are incarnate Here in this earthly vale. Behold, here he lies so despised, with great humility; Come, let us adore Him with speed, Let us sing na na na na na na, sweet Child.
O Lord, we do not deserve That You should love us so, For You are the Eternal God Who lays off His mighty majesty And now becomes a little child. You leave your Father's realm And become as we are, For Your entire desire Is for the heart and soul of mankind.
You came down from your Father's lap, O Child who makes us rejoice, Our delight, our happiness, You who are incarnate And lie here pale and naked. Behold, here he lies etc.
