I ndi la terra e'l cielo
A questi fa piú honor ch'al dio di Delo.

L aughing with joy
U nto waiting Holland today comes a new sun.
C louds, attracted, hid it for a time, but then
R etreated quickly, and over purple flowers and
E ven roses and hyacinths and lovely colors
T oward all it spreads its sparkling rays.
I n this way it honors earth and heaven;
A pollo himself is of a lesser glory.
