Wat leed kan toch u, landman, kwellen, Als ik de kooren air doe zwellen? Het veê en veld, Door my werd teeld, en groei besteld. Geen storm, of kryg den lust, Op 't vette land ontrust.

What suffering can torment you, peasant, If I make the wheat ears grow? And the cattle and field. I make them grow. No storm or war disturbs Happiness on the fertile land.
