'Wijsaanduiding' afkomstig uit het stukje proza boven het lied: 'Voorwoordje bij den Vlaamschen A-en U-strijd in België [...] Ik componeerde al droomende een Liedje van den a- en u-strijd, zoo wat op het metrum van het Duitsche Rijnlied. Ik heb het mij later zoo wat herinnerd en als volgt opgeschreven.'
