De wijsaanduiding 'Ei Dromer' kan elders niet met zekerheid aan psalm 118 worden gekoppeld (zie het lied met deze beginregel), maar in onderhavige bron lijkt dat probleemloos omdat in de editie van Busschof (de auteur van dit lied) deze psalmmelodie als wijs wordt opgegeven. De tekst wijkt echter nogal af van die in Busschoff NLZ1695b 031 en is in 4-regelige strofen opgetekend tegen 8-regelige in Busschoff NLZ1695b. Ook Datheens psalm 118 heeft 8-regelige strofen.
