Bijbelse marginalia. Hoewel de gegeven melodie onbekend is (vermoedelijk nieuw gecomponeerd), verraadt het strofeschema met zijn tripels dat er bij het dichten een ander lied model heeft gestaan, met melodienorm 'Te mei als alle vogeltjes zingen'. Dit is ook de wijsaanduiding bij enkele concordanties. Dat deze concordanties (dubbelgecontroleerd) er zijn, is opmerkelijk, want alle zitten ze in RK-hoek, tegenover de doperse De Ries, die verder hoogstens een concordantie met een enkel dopers verzamelbundeltje heeft.
